I have a thing...
My characters have an annoyng habit of coming to life.

There's this novel i've been writing like forever and ever so often, situations and/or people appear in my universe bearing a strange resemblance to characters from said novel.

The latest installment comes in the form of a newbie who reminds me of one of my main characters Mercer, MercerStone.

Writer/Artist, music enthusiast, looks-like-rockstar-but-not and recently graduated from the exact shcool I've pitched Mercer in. And then there's other similarities - minus one [chuckle].

I'm almost waiting to see how this real life one measures up to the fictional one...
